So today after a long days work at the "job" office I came home and went straight to packaging up all my goodies to ship out. I have been telling myself for weeks now i need organize my yarn stash and get it all boxed up in plastic totes to keep the dog hair off of them. so today i did it! This is only a very small part of my yarn collection. I have a lot more in the closet behind the totes! but good work for today!

200!!
I hit my 200 sales goal a little early! I had told my self back in mid-November that I would really like 200 sales (total) by Christmas. Well here it is the last day of November and I hit my goal already. It took me a year to hit 100 sales and 3 months after that I did another 100 sales!! Word gets around and I really do have some pretty great stuff :)
My 200 sale was a set of 3 wool dryer balls!

The Bedford Cowl!
Wonderful in so many ways. The Bedford cowl is worked in the round so you won't have any seams. It can be turned inside out for a different look. It is made with color changing acrylic for a unique stripe pattern and the acrylic makes it easy care. This can be made in almost every color in my shop!

NEW - Aurora Cowl
The new Aurora Cowl is so soft and warm. Last night I went to the hockey game (GO BLUES) and it kept me soooo warm. Steve started shivering and I was still really toasty. I tucked my hands into it so they were very warm also. I just added this to my shop! Go check it out!

Custom Items
The last few weeks I have also been working on a few custom items for my friends. A co-worker just had a baby and wanted a football cocoon for her little girl. My bosses daughter also wanted a owl hat and feet. So designed by Tessa and JoLynn, I made Tessa her dream hat and socks. Yes there is puff paint on the bottom of the socks... non slip grip.

Long day...
Well today I had a nice long 10 hour day at work. We had some pretty bad storms last night into this morning and all I have to say is don't you just hate being woken up 20 min's before your alarm goes off? once I get back to sleep my alarm scares the heck out of me then I get off to kind of a slow start. For the rest of the day it just feels like I have to play catch up. On another note I was laying in bed last night thinking about my car (her name is November and she is a Grand Prix) when I saw this car commercial that has a car sliding over what appears to be ice and snow in a big open area. It got me thinking... when I slide over ice and snow it is never in a big open area. I would love to see a true to life car commercial where the car is sliding all over the highway and stops on a dime. now that would be true to life. that is the car I want to buy. No we did not get snow last night just a bunch of rain and really strong winds. sooo tired... must go to bed.

Lots and Lots of Sales!!
The past few days have been very busy for me and LuckyHanks! I have a goal this year for my shop and that is to hit 400 sales by August 2011. The shop will have then been open for 2 years. As of today I am on the right track for hitting that goal! What are my two main sellers you ask? My Dirty Girl eco-friendly laundry soap and my Wool Dryer Balls. Check out my shop here. I make a lot of different things and I will be talking a little about each one as the days go by.

About me!
I am 25 years old. I love butterfly's and my 2 dogs ~ Lucky and Hanks. I love to make things. Knitting and crocheting are my 2 most favorite things in the whole world. I have a business on etsy called LuckyHanks where I sell some of the things I make. I have had the business open for a little over a year now and I think it is doing great! Some day I would love to make Lucky Hanks my full time job. Selling anything on etsy gives me a little high! I love knowing that my hard work will be enjoyed by many people all over the world. I live in St. Louis, MO. Michaels and Hobby Lobby are my favorite stores. I drink nothing but Pepsi all day. I live in a house full of boys. My fiance's names is Steve and he has an 8 year son named Cameron who lives with us full time. I am 5'1 and Steve is 6'4 we look so cute together. I like being indoors, I think mostly because I hate bugs. I am terrified of any thing that hops. I work in a liquor distributing warehouse as their shipping coordinator and I have been with the company for a little over 4 years now. (no we do not give out free samples). My bosses are great and love to keep things simple and easy. I love working for this company they treat me well, and the people I work with make going to work every morning at 6am fun and exciting, but Lucky Hanks is my passion.
