How to make a dog rope toy! mine mine mine

These toys are so easy to make! Just buy a yard of fleece and cut it into thick strips (make sure they are thick!! - maybe 3-5 inches) tie a strong knot on one end and start braiding the material. Leave yourself enough at the bottom to tie another strong knot. Some of these I cut the ends to make them more stringy and floppy. Make sure they are long enough so your dog can whip it around. If you have more of a chewer just tie an extra knot in the middle of the rope for more fun!! These have held up a lot better then any of my store bought toys. happy crafting! :)

New Scents!!

Kid Friendly Fragrance Oils Sampler Kit

Candy Jar Fragrance Set

Free Sample

I love placing orders through Bramble Berry! Their fragrance oils are amazing! I found these sets of oils the last time I was looking around on their site and just had to have them. The high quality of the oils means I only have to use a little so these smaller bottles last a long time and you can just do so much with them. Lotion bars, body butters, sugar body scrubs, fizzy bath bombs, and you can't forget the wonderful handmade soaps that so many of us still love :) I will be listing the new scents on my site soon and look forward to getting to make more lotion bars and sugar scrubs for you all.

Also with every Bramble Berry order they always toss in a free sample of something. mmmm Fresh bamboo. It smells heavenly. Click here to shop around.

While trying to come up with cute and fun items for the craft show/fair this year I stumbled across this cute pattern for baby diaper covers at Posh Patterns. Not only are they super cute but fast, fun, and easy to make. I just started selling them in my etsy shop yesterday. You can find them here. I sell them as one or a set of 3. I can't wait to see my first few orders go out! I will be making these in a few custom colors, as sets of 2. If you would like bigger sets for a baby shower or maybe you just have a lot of kids then contact me for more information. I welcome all bulk orders with ready fingers!

Best Kept Secret!!

So my Aunt always finds the best deals. She called me up the other day to go shopping. Apparently JCPenny's has a huge sale every 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. I got my husband 6 new work shirts $4 each (St. John's Bay - Reg price $40 each)!! 5 Arizona tops $6 each (Reg price $14-$22 each)!! Jeans $13 each (Reg price $48 each)! Pj pants and shirt for Cam only $2 each (Reg price $16 each)! I walked out of their spending only $83 with tax and everything!! Now not everything is on sale but I would say about 75% of the store was and when you can get shirts for $2 and Jeans for $13 count me in. My husband and I were talking and the last time I bought jeans there were at least $83 and I got all this for that price :)

Total reg price $470

What I paid $83

Total Saveings of  82.3%

Who me? Oh balls!

Happy Monday everyone! I made these pillows over the weekend. I saw ones like these on Etsy and decided to try it myself. I purchased the felt material at Jo-Anns for about $10 (it is made from recycled plastic water bottles - very cool) and printed off some letters on line (FYI... If I make anymore I will be using standard block letters - turns out I am not that great at sewing curves). I did a standard envelope pillow case so I could take it off for easy cleaning. Now after I sewed on the "WHO" I found it would be easier to glue the letters on before I sew them. With all the curves I kept poking myself with the straight pins. It only took a day to make these two. I also bought the pillow forms from Hobby Lobby one is 16x16 and the other is 24x24. I think the hardest part, other than the sewing, was cutting out all those letters. Good luck to anyone who wants to give this project a try. It was a lot of fun!!
